Image Commission

Almost three years ago I founded a society of Colombian illustrators and designers where the main idea is to promote new and fresh talent and to encourage it through exhibitions. In addition, lectures, workshops and art schools are promoted; exhibitions and events are organized; and there is always space for open discussion, career guidance and job opportunities. On the last day of last term, David ask me if it was possible to organize an exhibition at LCC with the people of my association, as I told him at the begining of the first term on our tutor meeting that we had organized a very nice exhibition recently in Honk Kong. So, I was thinking that we can work with them by posting a competition, where the reward for them will be to be publish in our book and to be part of an exhibition in London where the book and its images will be shown.

This will be very good to try to encourage people to help us with the images as nobody wants to work for free, and even they will be publish, this will be in a very small amount and a lot people would think is not worth the effort and time.

Plus, we have all David's support and I think him, Des and Gill will be happy to do an exhibition of a book that was a result of their master and because is something they can show to futures promotions and dean.


I think it will be a good idea to use the resources that we already have, as this will save us time and is a very good resource but, anyway, is just an idea, is up to you guys :)
